(His father was killed by RUF soldiers while he looked on--the only war casualty in little Charlotte (pop. 26), 10 miles over the hills from Freetown. He grows vegetables that his mother carries into Freetown weekly. He also acts as village appointed tour guide to the Charlotte waterfall--for tips. STGassociate, Ronald Johnson, is producing a brochure to put in Freetown hotels that will increase tourism to Charlotte.) (see Pictures of Sierra Leone, Charlotte on left panel)
